SVI TRUCKS

SVI was Super Vac's first product-line expansion, entering the market of custom-built fire/rescue apparatus in 1971. The SVI division specializes in the manufacture of the following truck types built to the customer's specifications:

• Heavy, Medium and Light Duty Rescue - Carries tools and equipment for rescue operations
• Haz-Mat - Carries specialized equipment to battle hazardous-material incidents
• Mobile Air - Provides air-compressing equipment to refill breathing-air bottles on site
• Command Post - Provides command-support facilities for larger emergency situations

Trucks are available with walk-in or non walk-in bodies, and are built from corrosion-resistant steel, stainless steel, or weight-saving aluminum. Bodies can be built on the commercial or custom chassis of the customer's choice.

In 1985, SVI began a fire-apparatus refurbishing service that has restored numerous worn and damaged rescue, pumper, and aerial trucks to peak operational condition. Other services include replacing older cabs with the latest 4-door models, replacing rusted bodies with weather-resistant aluminum bodies, replacing water tanks on tanker trucks, and bringing any apparatus up to current NFPA standards.
